The LORD is with you when you are with him. The rest of the Bible continues the story of God seeking us out, calling us back to himself. It tells us that even in our sin God still wants us and comes looking for us. But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’” (Genesis 3:8–9). “Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. And even after their fall, God goes looking for them. ![]() ![]() The first man and woman, Adam and Eve, knew God and talked with him. ![]() He knows where you left your car keys, what you think about your aunt, and why you’re going to dodge your boss at 2:30 today. He knows what you had for breakfast this morning. He knows what time you went to bed last night. Whatever else we might believe about intimacy with God at this point, the truth is that God knows us very intimately.
